Poppycock!
Huckabee Spouts Poppycock
Washington – When asked about Club for Growth.Net’s recent ad highlighting Governor Huckabee’s tax-and-spend record and his opposition to a federal ban on Internet taxes, the former Arkansas governor tried to deflect attention from himself by leveling a baseless accusation spun from whole cloth: He accused Club for Growth.Net of coordinating with another candidate.
“I have just one word in response to Governor Huckabee’s ridiculous charge,” said Club for Growth.Net President Pat Toomey. “Poppycock. Just because Mike Huckabee can’t defend his tax-and-spend record, doesn’t give him the right to invent unfounded and untrue accusations.”
“Club for Growth.Net is fully and exclusively responsible for the content of its ad and stands by its call to Governor Huckabee to support a federal ban on taxing the Internet.”
