Club for Growth.NET Releases New Ad in PA-10

Washington - Today, Club for Growth.Net released a $250,000 ad buy in Pennsylvania's Tenth Congressional District. The ad will run on broadcast and cable television throughout the district.

Entitled "Hurting," the ad highlights Rep. Chris Carney's record of voting for higher taxes and wasteful pork projects even while taxpayers in Pennsylvania are struggling with tough economic times. Chris Carney voted for a budget that included a massive tax increase that would have raised taxes over $2,000 a year for the average family. And when given the chance to vote against outrageous pork projects, Carney refused. Instead he voted to spend taxpayer dollars on the Kansas Regional Prisons Museum (RC #670) and the Lobster Institute in Maine (RC #735). The ad seeks to educate people in Pennsylvania-10 so they can call Chris Carney and tell him to vote for lower taxes and an end to wasteful pork spending.

"Chris Carney's record on taxes and pork-barrel spending is insulting to taxpayers who are struggling in these hard times," said Club for Growth.Net President Pat Toomey. "If Chris Carney truly cared about Pennsylvania taxpayers he would stop voting for tax increases and wasteful spending. We hope this ad will encourage people in Pennsylvania to call Rep. Carney and tell him to support policies that lower taxes and cut wasteful government spending."
