New TV Ad in Colorado

Club for Growth.NET Releases New Ad in Colorado

Washington - Today, Club for Growth.Net released a statewide television ad in Colorado. The $400,000 ad buy will run for two weeks on broadcast TV in the Denver market.

Entitled "Property," the ad seeks to highlight the problem of eminent domain abuse in Colorado and educate people in Colorado about Rep. Mark Udall's record on private property rights. Over the past couple of years, hundreds of people in Colorado have seen their property condemned by the government. An eighty-seven year old man's home was taken by the government in 2000 and a family-owned restaurant was forced to close its doors when the government condemned the property. Despite the tragedy of eminent domain abuse in Colorado, Rep. Mark Udall has voted to make it easier for government to take private property. This ad encourages people in Colorado to call Rep. Udall and tell him to protect private property from eminent domain abuse.

"We hope this ad will make Mark Udall aware of the tragic consequences of eminent domain abuse so that he will change his ways and start defending private property," said Club for Growth.Net President Pat Toomey. "How many people have to lose their homes and businesses before Mark Udall votes to protect them? This ad seeks to educate people in Colorado about how Rep. Udall is voting. We encourage them to call Mark Udall and tell him to start voting to protect private property."
