Club for Growth.NET Releases New Ad in AZ-05
Washington - Today, Club for Growth.Net released a television ad throughout Arizona's Fifth Congressional District. The $250,000 ad buy will run on broadcast television in the Phoenix market.
This ad seeks to educate Arizona taxpayers about Rep. Harry Mitchell's long career of voting for higher taxes. No matter what position he served in-whether as mayor, state senator, or congressman, Harry Mitchell has consistently supported a higher tax burden.
As mayor of Tempe, Mitchell supported higher property taxes both in 1992 and 1993. As state senator, Mitchell voted against property tax relief twice in 2005. And as a congressman, Mitchell voted for at least four tax hikes in his short two years in Congress. When people in Arizona see this ad and learn about Mitchell's abysmal record on taxes, hopefully they will call Harry Mitchell and urge him to vote for lower taxes, especially in these tough economic times.
"Harry Mitchell has been involved in politics for over two decades, and he has consistently supported higher taxes on Arizona citizens," said Club for Growth.Net President Pat Toomey. "It is important to run this ad so that Arizona taxpayers learn about Harry Mitchell's record and call him and tell him to vote for lower taxes."
